Acceptable use policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
Only scan a domain you own or are authorised to act for. Do not try to script around the daily limit, and do not scrape or resell the findings we generate. Blocking our crawler in your robots.txt stops us reading your site, and emailing us does the rest.
This policy applies to anyone using the free scan or any paid service offered by Corenex Solutions Ltd (trading as Visibility Root), registered in England and Wales, company number 13075111, and sits alongside our terms of service.
Who and what you may scan
You may only submit a domain you own, or one you are authorised to act for on behalf of its owner. Scanning a domain to gather intelligence on a competitor without that authority, or to harass or disrupt a site you have no connection to, is not a permitted use of the free scan.
Rate and volume limits
The free scan is limited to 5 scans per 24 hours per IP address, and a completed scan for a given domain is served from cache for 30 days rather than re-crawled on every request. Attempting to circumvent either limit, including by rotating IP addresses or automating submissions, is not permitted.
No scraping or resale
You may not scrape, systematically extract, or resell the findings, evidence or generated fixes a scan produces, whether from a report page directly or by automating the free scan to harvest results at scale.
Our crawler
When we scan a site, we identify ourselves honestly with the user
agent string VisibilityRootBot/0.1 (+https://visibilityroot.com; detector, phase 0). We check
robots.txt for that user agent before crawling and respect a
disallow rule, and we never bypass a login, a paywall or any other
access control to read a page.
Opting out
Add a disallow rule for VisibilityRootBot/0.1 (+https://visibilityroot.com; detector, phase 0) to
your site's robots.txt and we will not crawl it. If you would like
us to remove a scan already run against your domain, email
info@visibilityroot.com
with the domain and we will action the request.
Enforcement
Breaching this policy may result in your access to the free scan being suspended or ended, under the terms set out in our terms of service.
